The Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey is excited to announce our 4th Annual U Got Brains Champion Schools Program for the 2013-2014 school year. Over the last 3 years, almost 90 high schools throughout the state developed teen driving safety programs in a fun, interactive, and competitive contest where 2 grand prize winners each year are awarded driving simulators for their schools.
A special congratulation goes out to last year’s two Grand Prize Winners: Columbia High School and Lenape Regional High School District. To view the winning projects click here.
At last year’s Awards ceremony, New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company (NJM), made a surprise announcement that all 55 participating schools would win a driving simulator to commemorate NJM’s 100th anniversary. This year’s program will officially launch in September. We are now accepting applications.
It is an opportunity for students and staff of New Jersey high schools to develop campaigns to address teen driving safety. Each school will develop its own project based on a topic pertaining to teen driving safety. We are looking for creative projects that will raise awareness and make an impact on new drivers. You can utilize social media, videos, blogs, traditional media or other means to help spread your message. Your imagination is the only limit!
There are just a few rules – so read them carefully!

Due to the overwhelming success of our program over the past 3 years, we are pleased to announce that we have partnered with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s (CHOP) Research Institute to enhance our U Got Brains Champion Schools Program by adding an evaluation component for all participating schools. You can find out more about this on the application form. Apply here.
